Physical

Dog Walking & Pet Sitting

Chicago is a dog-walking city, and our experts know the vital role it plays in your pets’ overall optimal physical health. All animals require daily movement and exercise to feel their best and maintain muscle tone as well as an appropriate weight for their age and breed. Regular physical activity, in dogs especially, keeps them healthy and limber and reduces behavioral problems such as excessive licking, barking, chewing, digging, and other anxiety-related behaviors. It also helps all animals build trust and confidence in you and in their environment.

Our care for your pet may include:

  • Regular dog walks
  • Walk & Manners Train
  • Cats and toys play
  • Ferrets play with tunnels & obstacle courses
  • Body and head massages
  • Continual engagement of one-to-one physical activity

Psychosocial

Enrichment and mental stimulation for your pet.

Mental stimulation and enrichment activity are just as important as physical exercise for your pet’s well-being and are a workout for the brain.  Like the body, a pet’s brain needs regular mental exercise to maintain its proper function, remain healthy, and prevent mental decline. Did you know that a lack of mental stimulation exercises can be harmful to your pet’s overall health?  Animals can experience physical and mental health problems due to a lack of mental stimulation which can include cognitive dysfunction, dementia, depression, muscle atrophy, anxiety, and joint problems.  Our Chicago pet sitters utilize this methodology to help them live their best life!

Our care for your pet may include:

  • Problem-solving games and food puzzles
  • Interactive toys
  • Practicing or learning new tricks
  • Give them a job to do – an indoor obstacle course, hide-n-seek, or treat scattering.

Nutritional

Improve your pets life with optimal nutriton

LET FOOD BE THY MEDICINE! Is extending your pet’s longevity and improving its health and wellness important to you? A biologically appropriate, minimally processed, human-grade, real whole-food diet is the ideal choice to make. Thus, it can afford you more years to spend with your best friend and family member. Most commercially marketed kibble diets and pet foods contain highly processed ingredients and chemicals, which have been scientifically proven to contribute to acute and chronic diseases, cancers, and high inflammation in the body.

Our pet parents’ consultations may include:

  • Evaluating your current nutritional diet and supplements feeding
  • Your nutritional goals, medical issues, or health/wellness concerns
  • Educate on components of an integrated, holistic diet and supplements (macro/micronutrients, vitamins, minerals, herbal, spices, and homeopathic)
  • Formulate and propose meal plans
  • Gut microbiome and brain health

Testimonials

A review from Diane Ravenscraft from Chicago (who is unable to post her own review because she doesn’t have a Google account): Pamela has been a savior for a busy Chicago dog mom of two! She took the time to get to know my senior dog Pepper (10) and my energetic younger dog Lucky (3). I had been looking for a Chicago dog walker for several weeks as my work schedule was making it increasingly harder to come home after a normal day at the office and walk/feed my dogs. Pamela understood the pressures of my job and schedule and was more than willing to help out! She has a caring and pleasant demeanor that my dogs instantly connected with. I feel great comfort trusting her with my doggie kids and that along with a feeding and walk, she'll give them love!

I want to take a minute to write a quick review. With my job, I travel often, and many times it is at last-minute notice, and my 10-year-old Doxie, 'Friskie' needs to be looked after. Recently, I was unable to board Friskie at the vet, so I called Pamela explaining my circumstance and asked her to PLEASE help me out in this spot. We met...She spent time asking me about Frisky, her likes/dislikes, schedule, and habits...as we talked, they interacted, and I felt VERY comfortable leaving Friskie in her care. Since then, Pamela has become my 'go-to' person, whether taking her for a walk or an overnight...She is able to work with my erratic schedule and even sends me pictures when I am on the road to show how happy she is. I am also getting some tips on how to keep her happy and a bit thinner and more energetic. (She likes her snacks a bit too much and has a favorite spot on a couch...lol) It is also fun to watch Friskie go from Zero to 100 in a few seconds flat when she realizes that Pamela is there to spend time with her. Would I recommend Pamela??...You Betcha!!!

I used Pamela this past thanksgiving to watch my pup while I was in Florida. My boyfriend was able to take care of him for the whole time except for thanksgiving and the day after. I was really nervous to have someone watch him due to his old age and him being blind. I really only have family and close friends watch him but this time I was out of options which led me to Pamela. She was so extremely thorough in the initial meeting, and was so so sweet with bubba. From the initial meeting I knew she was a great fit. I had no stress for her watching him. She left such thorough notes and kept me updated the entire time. I appreciate her extensive background in pet care given my dogs ailments. She is so very sweet and extremely communicative. I highly recommend Pamela to anyone. Will be using her again!

I was lucky to find Pamela via a Facebook post. We met and I knew she was the right one to walk and care for my dog Stan. She was kind, courteous, and always on time. I loved the reports she would write! I even got photos texts of their walks, while I was working long days. I can’t believe she has the patience to put on his boots! If she had any concerns about his mood or health, she would make sure I knew. I really appreciate the time, effort and care she gives Stan.
